How we collect & verify data

Where listings come from. Facilities are discovered through mapping data across US metro areas, then each listing is built from three sources cross-referenced together: the facility's public business profile (address, hours, phone, ratings), its own website (services, pricing, policies), and public visitor reviews.

What "Verified" means. The verified date on a listing is the last time our pipeline re-checked all three sources for that facility. Prices and intro offers are only shown when the facility publishes them itself — we never estimate a price.

What we do when we can't verify something. We leave it out. If a listing doesn't show a salt load, plunge temperature, or filtration spec, that's because the facility hasn't published one — not because we didn't look. FAQ answers that depend on unpublished policy say "contact the facility" instead of guessing.

Pros and cons. The "What reviewers highlight" section is distilled from public visitor reviews of that specific facility. Every item must reflect something reviewers actually wrote.

Quality gate. A listing only goes live when it passes our completeness checks: a substantive description, real modality data, at least ten answered visitor questions, an image, and a confirmed address. Listings that fail stay unpublished until re-verified.

Corrections. Facility owners and visitors can report an error. Corrections are applied at the next refresh, and disputed facts are removed until re-verified.
